JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media & Marketing Specialist to manage our online presence, engage our audience, and promote our travel, hotel, and restaurant brands. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on content creation to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and bookings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute social media strategies to promote our travel services, hotel, and restaurant.
• Create engaging, high-quality content (posts, reels, stories, blogs) for multiple platforms.
• Manage and grow our presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
• Plan, execute, and analyze online marketing campaigns, including paid ads.
• Monitor trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
• Manage website content updates and SEO to improve visibility.
• Track and report on campaign performance and social media analytics.
• Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and maintain brand voice across platforms.
• Coordinate with photographers, designers, and other creative professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in social media management or digital marketing, preferably in travel, hospitality, or F&B.
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and content trends.
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut or similar design tools.
• Experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, and SEO best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong photography/videography and editing skills are a plus.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand consistency.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

JOB BRIEF

The Sales & Marketing Consultant is responsible for generating inquiries, converting them into bookings, proving high quality services to our clients and building Mai Globe Travels reputation amongst the travel agents and individual clientele. We are looking for a responsible, friendly, customer centric, energetic, and passionate candidate with high integrity and global mindset, who will grow with the company. The job position is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka but remote work is a possibility.

We are a multi-national travel agency providing unique and high-quality tailor-made tours and travel services to global clientele traveling to Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian destinations. We are currently in the path of recovery from the pandemic and the financial crisis, and we have position ourselves again for double digit growth and positioning to be the market leader in the industry. Our office is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka and Hanoi, Vietnam.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market our products to the global markets and build a FIT and B2B client base.
• Convert maximum number of queries into bookings and achieving individual and combined team sales targets.
• Making care of inquiries, taking entire ownership of assigned tours from start to end (Working closely with the operations team for costing and bookings on hotels, flights/trains, guides, activities etc).
• Create new products and programs for Sri Lanka.
• Market research.
• The development and execution of sales strategies.
• Always finding ways to improve customer care quality and exceed customer expectations.
• Prepare monthly report to manager on sales performance and strategies.
• Work with the online marketing team on optimizing web content and assist in blogs, social media network, newsletters and online/offline articles.

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English is a MUST.
• Excellent knowledge of using computers, MS Office & internet.
• At least 1 year work experience in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and a data driven approach to sales strategy and performance analysis.
• Online and social media marketing experience is a bonus.
• Proficient in other European languages is a plus.
• Experience in High end/ Luxury tours is an advantage.
